Back to Bach

Back to Bach

When violin virtuoso Gidon Kremer bravely took up the greatest challenge for any violinist and decided to make a second recording of Bach’s beautiful Partita’s for solo violin this certainly was a major event. He mounted, in his own words, the ‘Himalayas of violin music’ with succes and the result is a dazzling video recording, now available on MonteVerdi.

Congratulations maestro Haitink!

Haitink

MonteVerdi congratulates Bernard Haitink with his birthday! Last Wednesday, the Dutch maestro reached the respectable age of 80, but Haitink seems unstoppable, conducting all over the world. He just won a Grammy with the Chicago Symphony Orchestras and is about to cross the sea with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra to perform a series of concerts in London. Coming Soon on MonteVerdi: A Haitink Special
